Technology Tips and Tricks
Technology Tips and Tricks
I am in charge of the technology of Tekdia's precision machined products and diamond applied products.
We have repeatedly given technical guidance to mass production plants in Cebu Island, Philippines,
I am currently stationed at the Cebu factory.
Based on my experience so far, I will write about tips for technical guidance that are easy to convey to other people.
I enjoy golf as a hobby. It never works...
But since I want to be good at doing it, I refer to lesson videos and magazines,
I will never improve.
It is explained in detail, such as "Here, like this...", but when I put it into practice, it didn't work at all.
Why do I have to walk under a tree all the time even though it is such a wide golf course?
I want you to teach me in a more clear and clear way so that you can fly straight.
Having said that, teaching others to do what they can do is
At first glance it seems easy, but it's actually very difficult.
The content of the instruction is technical skill, and it is even more difficult if the stage is abroad.
Most of Tecdia products are Cebu Microelectronics, Inc. (commonly known as CMI) in Cebu, Philippines.
We are producing.
Even if you say that you are producing, it does not mean that the process has started up well from the beginning,
Appropriate technical guidance from Japanese engineers is required to set up the process.
But there is an overseas factory. Due to various problems such as language barriers and cultural differences, Japanese engineers
The process design and the work guidance that is the work recipe are very important.
We will transfer the technology to CMI along with the work guidance created by a Japanese engineer.
I had an unexpected problem in the technical guidance of the diamond applied product that I was in charge of.
The content that I thought was the core of the product and the process that had the highest degree of difficulty, was completely skill-free.
・Conversely, defects often occur in processes that I did not think were the easiest...
Why?
The former diamond polishing process, which should be difficult,
[Cut with a No. 0 grindstone, and cut it in a number of 0. 0 μm, repeat it for a number of times, and then with a No. 0 grindstone...]
The process was completely numerically controlled, so that the operator could understand it in a straightforward manner.
On the other hand, the work instruction book of the latter process that I thought was easy,
[Fix the diamond at the position shown in the photo to the extent that it does not graze]
It was a process that was written only by my own feelings.
"It is written in the position of the photo, but what do you do in this case?"
(Diameter rough diamond size error... Certainly not all the same size because they are natural diamonds.)
"Diamond was removed in the next process, but I couldn't get it with my strength?"
(Yes, not everyone has the same power...)
"Since it's written with a graffiti, the diamond broke when I strongly checked?"
(A little bit of adjustment... But I understand. I'm a person who wants to tighten the screws as well...)
There were many unexpected problems.
Work that was easily done with the skills of the instructor, but other people feel the work content is vague,
The so-called "sense" part was not clearly transmitted.
In other words, the former was clear [digital work] and the latter was ambiguous [analog work].
However, this was a natural thing if I thought of it as a position to be taught.
A familiar example would be cooking recipes.
[Meat: XXg] [Water: XXml] [Salt: 〇 teaspoon]
It can be understood because it is explained with concrete numerical values such as, if,
[Meat: To the extent that it can be eaten] [Water: To the extent that the taste does not diminish] [Salt: To the extent that it does not feel salty]
There is no reason that everyone will have the same finish if they are explained with such a feeling.
After all, for the process where the problem frequently occurred, the construction method was reviewed from the beginning,
・Construction method that allows you to convert the parts that you work with to a number (from analog work to digital work)
・Consider a tool that can only be made (to a construction method that eliminates confusing factors)
It was solved by changing to.
In summary, the technical guidance is
Use a numerical value as much as possible, or select a construction method that can be converted into a numerical value,
[Digital instruction] so that workers can clearly understand and not get confused
It is important to do in.
Even though various automations are in progress, there are technologies that cannot be beaten by human hands.
In addition, there are still many processes where even simple work cannot be replaced by digital work.
"Teach your senses to others"
This may be an eternal theme in technical guidance.
Well, the story has lengthened, but what do you want to say in the end? I said...
Please let me know [digitally] a golf swing that never bends... (Actual)
